MAKAN BERGIZI GRATIS PROGRAM: NEWS FRAMING ON NEWS PORTALS AND NETIZEN SENTIMENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Main Article Content
Abstract
President Prabowo flagship program is Free Nutritious Meals (MBG). The background of this study is based on the large budget and potential social impact of the MBG program, as well as the role of the media in shaping public perception. The purpose of this study is to analyze the framing of the MBG program by the news portals Detik.com and Kompas.com, netizen sentiment on social media towards the program, and the relationship between the two. The research methods used are framing analysis for news analysis and Social Media Analysis (SMA) for sentiment analysis. The results of the study show that Detik.com focuses more on the planning and challenges of implementing MBG, while Kompas.com highlights the government's efforts to overcome nutritional problems and the smoothness of the program. Netizen sentiments generally tend to be positive and highlight the implementation, involvement of related parties, and nutritional benefits. There is a close and reciprocal relationship between media framing and netizen sentiment. This study recommends that the government continue to increase transparency and involve the public; media/news portals can present balanced and in-depth reporting, and further research to conduct more in-depth analysis and case studies of program implementation
