Proses Komunikasi Mahasiswa dengan ChatGPT (Perspektif Teori Komunikasi Manusia-Mesin)

Abstrak
ChatGPT tidak hanya mampu menyediakan informasi, tetapi juga memberikan pengalaman baru untuk saling berkomunikasi dengan sebuah teknologi pintar. Pemanfaatan ChatGPT sendiri memberikan berbagai implikasi terutama pada komunikasi di bidang pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meninjau proses interaksi yang dilakukan oleh kalangan mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan ChatGPT melalui perspektif teori komunikasi manusia-mesin (HMC). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tinjauan literatur sistematis melalui pencarian pada basis data jurnal bereputasi internasional dan nasional. Berdasarkan protokol penelusuran dan penyeleksian, diperoleh 30 literatur yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan implikasi HMC pada ChatGPT melalui tiga tema besar yakni peran sosial, proses membangun makna, dan implikasi sosial budaya. ChatGPT menjalankan peran fungsional sehingga memiliki keterbatasan peran sebagai komunikator. Namun, terdapat proses saling memahami pesan yang dikirimkan antara manusia dan mesin. Komunikasi manusia-mesin turut mempertanyakan kembali nilai-nilai manusia sebagai makhluk sosial.
